The book begins with the chapter on brief survey of Discrete Mathematics to introduce the subject and the areas the embraces in mathematics and the important role it plays in the field of computer science. Every topic has been started with necessary introduction and developed gradually up to the standard form. The theory part in the each chapter has been tried to explain in a lucid and unambiguous manner and number of examples have been worked out to illustrate the implication of the theory. Solved example have been selected carefully, whose detail illustrate all the features and difficulties that one can possibly encounter in the general cases. Chapter end with a mixture of the fairly straight forward applications of the ideas of the chapter and more challenging problems problems.
